Stacy’s Top 10 Christmas Picks!
Dec 23rd, 2009 by Kuhlman
Howdy folks! Stacy here, your favorite East Coast transplant here at Kuhlman. I am the store manager and apprentice tailor extraordinaire, and I’ve been working here almost a year and a half. You can most often find me mending something at the back table, working in back at the sewing machines, or fitting your suit for alterations. I’m going to share my favorite pieces in the store right now…

10. The Time Teller P. Holy crap, this watch is awesome. Made from PU, it goes anywhere. And the color choices are just plain AMAZING. I seriously think this watch can make everyone happy. Like sleek, clean lines, with solid colors? Go for the white! Like to be flashy with colors everywhere? Get one of each color! Or just go with the multi-colored one! I really just can’t get enough of this watch.

9. Some Things Take Time Tee from Poketo. A bear riding a bike? Awesome! The quote is adorable, the drawing completely unique. Plus, theres a bear nipple on there, how could you turn that down?!

8. Iro Coat. Sleek A-line shape with minimal embellishments. (It’s better on a human than our mannequin, come in and I’ll show you!) Hidden placket shows no buttons. Short stand collar adds to the great image! This coat is so Seattle, even if Seattlites don’t know it yet.

7. Alea white w/ blue stripes. Alea is our new vendor for high-end button-up shirts, and they certainly are delivering. These don’t come as slim as Xacus did (still much slimmer than your average American shirt) but they can be darted for that super slim look. The fabric choices are all wonderful, but this is one of my favorites.

6. Wohali belt from Brave. We had this in brown before, and now here is the black. I love the versatility - ladies can hang it around their natural waist so it accents a dress. Guys and ladies alike can put it on their jeans too. No need to get a different size either, the same size can totally work for both!

5. Ben Sherman velvet blazer. I think this speaks for itself, but I’ll help it along anyway. It’s velvet, it fits like a dream, it’s velvet, it’s not expensive, it’s velvet, and it’s the most gorgeous shade of midnight blue. Perfect for all those New Year’s parties you have booked! (Also pictured: Valentine Tux Shirt from Alea, Plectrum cuff links from Ben Sherman, and bow tie from J. Lindeberg.)

4. Fred Perry Navy/Aqua Track Jacket. I love this color, on guys and ladies, it pops color without being overbearing. The track jacket is a classic as far as we are concerned. Throw it on over jeans and a tee and you instantly look like you tried. Not to mention Gob wears one, and when was Gob ever wrong?

2. Tylho Scarves - I think these are the best gifts for anyone on your list you aren’t positive what to get. These are great for guys or girls, young or old. They are lightweight cotton, but super wide so they hold up to the cold. (Also pictured: Nicholas K double snap coat)

1. Nixon Messenger - This is new here at the store, and I don’t think there is a better bag out there. All the zippers have reinforcing all around them to keep the rain out. It has a smorgasbord of pockets for every storage need you could have.
