Nicholas K for the ladies!
Jan 27th, 2009 by Kuhlman
Just today we’ve received our first shipment of spring and summer merchandise from Nicholas K, one of our all time favorite designers. His garments are always so interesting and just brimming with great little details and all sorts of options as to how to wear them.
First is the Malcolm Shirt ($221). This shirt has two sets of buttons and two sets of button holes for all sorts of different possibilities. The bottom hem has a drawstring and the full length sleeves can be pulled up by threading the epaulets through an extra loop on the sleeve (as shown below). Very roomy, very soft, this billowy white blouse is perfect for layering under a cardigan.
Here it’s shown with both sets of buttons done up for a layered look:

And here only the first set of buttons is done for a less structured look:

Next we have the Quinn Cardigan ($248). This soft camel colored sweater has buttons upon buttons upon buttons! It also features a drop-waisted tie belt, high button collar and a box pleat in the back under the belt. This is a great lightweight piece for transitioning between seasons.

Last but definitely not least is the Clayton Nylon Jacket ($390). This biker inspired jacket has a short, off-center zipper and two rows of snaps in a double breasted pattern. The collar snaps high and has a double drawstring to cinch it against the wind and weather.
