We know them, we love them, and Nice Collective is back this Spring with some great pieces!

NiCo 2.3.10 001 by you.

The Text Tee has lyrics repeated over it printed in black on black fabric. The light has to catch it in order to really see it in person. ($77)

NiCo 2.3.10 011 by you.

NiCo 2.3.10 016 by you.

The Reversible Hoodie is a woven zip-up that fits like a dream. The black side has pockets in a seam that crosses the torso while the brown side has classic hoodie patch pockets. This hoodie includes all the details that have made Nice Collective’s name. ($279)

NiCo 2.3.10 018 by you.

NiCo 2.3.10 065 by you.

The McNeil Fisherman’s Cap is a classic staple. Styled after Greek Fishing caps, this modern style is great for the ladies and the gents. ($40)

NiCo 2.3.10 032 by you.

The Parker is the only structured hat we got this shipment. It is closer to the color of the Randle below than the purpley-blue it appears in the photo. It is a great fit with a relatively flat top and turned up stingy brim. ($45)

NiCo 2.3.10 035 by you.

NiCo 2.3.10 050 by you.

The Randle is a style we order season after season. We’ve had it in wool and in linen, and here’s the cotton canvas. These hats fit almost anyone and the colors this season are so classic. ($40)

NiCo 2.3.10 041 by you.

The Harrison driver cap is a great tan colored fabric with teeny tiny black houndstooth. This cap doesn’t poof too much on the sides, allowing for a great look. ($45)

NiCo 2.3.10 058 by you.
The Newsie cap is back and in black with really light pinstripes inside the herringbone. This funky has needs a stylish person to sport it, its not meant for blending in to the crowd. ($45)

Altered Vintage Jewelry!

We recently received some jewelry from local design team Altered Vintage and they are sweet! These pieces are totally original and each handmade piece is one of a kind.

Altered Vintage Jewelry 048 by you.
We have two versions of the “Nuts and Bolts” ring, they are both slightly different. I love these trio’s. The juxtaposition of the rough pieces with the delicacy of the rings themselves is great. You can wear them on their own or together in a cluster. ($35)
Altered Vintage Jewelry 052 by you.
This line runs with a motif of cityscapes. This ring has three layers of metal, the bottom is a background, then mountains, then the buildings in gorgeous copper. This ring was made with men in mind, but I think it makes a great chunky piece for women too! ($70)

The earrings in the cityscape motif are too cool to be true. The combination of layered metal with the handmade quality gives a great vintage-y look. (Triangle, $40, Circle, $63, Pentagon, $45)

These crescents come from watch pieces. They have a great industrial look without being too heavy or huge. ($27)
Altered Vintage Jewelry 037 by you.
These sawblade earrings perfectly combine rough with polished. The middle has a Swarovski crystal, surrounded by sterling silver. These are tiny too, about the size of a dime each. ($29)
Altered Vintage Jewelry 039 by you.
This Birdcage cluster is a wonderfully unique piece. The three dimensional birdcage is too cute, and even has a little arch for the door. There is also a star in there, it’s hiding behind the bird in the picture. ($50)

We got some new items for the ladies in our most recent shipment from Ben Sherman and RVCA. We’ll start with RVCA and go from there.
1.22.10 BS and RVCA 011 by you.
The print on this tee looks like an intricate spiky necklace and is super flattering to the curves. Love love love this one. ($32)
1.22.10 BS and RVCA 012 by you.
This white tee sports a happy, cheery print of a seahorse, a smiling sun with a heart on its head, a happy little blue man, all sorts of whimsy to drive the grey skies away! ($25)

women's BS and RVCA 021 by you.

The Runaway tank is simple and elegant with an easy, relaxed yet body-conscious fit. It’s nice to have a cute tank that isn’t super tight, to balance things out a little. We love the soft off-white shade and the subtle ribbing around the neck and arms. ($43)
women's BS and RVCA 028 by you.
The Siren tank is a little more flashy, a little more daring. The subdued charcoal color is perfect for showing off the interesting mix of knit cotton and satiny side panels. The snaps and angled pocket add a nice, understated twist. ($54)

The next wave of Ben Sherman ladies’ wear is just as cute as the last little shipment we got!

women's BS and RVCA 011 by you.

First there is the already familiar Sarum racerback tank top again, but this time in black with the same striped tie at the neck. The darker color is a little more elegant, a little more night out. ($69)

women's BS and RVCA 002 by you.

The Manor is a soft, flirty little number with an edge. Who doesn’t love a batwing silhouette? It’s roomy yet fitted with a fantastic chevron stripes adding a little geometric element. So gorgeous! ($79)

women's BS and RVCA 005 by you.

In the same color combo is the Priory sweater. The frog closures are a great touch to add lots of interest to an otherwise simple sweater. This is one that definitely has to be tried on to be appreciated, come slip it on! ($99)

women's BS and RVCA 016 by you.

The Thornton tee is soft and casual and just right. The print looks like a tassel that you just threw around your neck, elegant and understated. The V neck is the perfect depth, the cotton is just the right thickness, this piece can go with virtually anything. ($49)

women's BS and RVCA 010 by you.

The Louis jersey biker dress has some major attitude! The jersey is thick and substantial, the zipper is heavy duty, the snaps are not messing around. It’s short, in a super good “i’m wearing i biker dress” way, because seriously, you can’t wear a modest biker dress, that’s just silly. Get this for when you’re feeling daring, when you want to show some leg and have some fun! ($109)

Ben Sherman is on the top of their game, making sure we have all the newest pieces early! Here’s the latest shipment from Ben:

1.22.10 BS and RVCA 004 by you.
This is the Heat style in the Mod fit. It has a Convent button-down collar, pointy and amazing. The blue gingham is perfectly scaled for a great look.
1.22.10 BS and RVCA 022 by you.
Excuse the slightly pink tint, its due to our neon light, and is not the actual color of the fabric. It is a nice off-white in reality. ($79)
The Pointe Soho shirt with the Holland button-down collar is the perfect synthesis of style and wearbility with a lovely tiny grey and aqua check pattern that rotates for a great contrast at the sleeve cuffs and on the pockets. The fit is slim and fantastic, sure to be great on nearly every body. ($69)
1.22.10 BS and RVCA 005 by you.
The Segal is a laundered heathery blue fabric, meant for a softer look than the crisp Heat. This one is also in the Mod fit, with a modest Shoreditch collar. ($79)
1.22.10 BS and RVCA 014 by you.
The Willis is the Soho fit, slightly slimmer with another Shoreditch collar. The buttons are actually snaps!
1.22.10 BS and RVCA 023 by you.
And check out that pattern! The off white dots and circles are so cool!  ($89)
1.22.10 BS and RVCA 028 by you.
1.22.10 BS and RVCA 025 by you.
We also got two colors in this sweet henley. Called the Rayners, this henley is VERY fitted! Small guys come and get it while it lasts! All the other pictures were taken with mediums on the model, and this one is a large, and quite as fitted. ($55)
1.22.10 BS and RVCA 031 by you.
The Andrew Waistcoat is an amazing herringbone fabric with black edging. The back has a great black lining with exposed white piping. A must-see! ($99)
The Thames Hampstead Pants are a slim cut medium grey pant with an off-white pinstripe, slash pockets, and a mini button flap pocket on the left hip. The fit is just gorgeous, perfectly flattering for the slim boys out there. ($119)
The Alpha Rod Fit pants have a teeny tiny herringbone pattern that is almost too small to see but adds a great texture to the fabric in person. The fit is a perfect taper with a sharp little 1 inch cuff at the bottom. Very mod, very Ben Sherman. ($119)
On to the RVCA…
1.22.10 BS and RVCA 002 by you.
The No. 1 shirt is just that. It is a great plaid, slightly less fitted than Ben Sherman, but what isn’t? Every casual man needs a shirt like this in his repertoire. ($54)
1.22.10 BS and RVCA 006 by you.
The John Jay plaid S/S is the same plaid as the No. 1, only with a black background and a slightly different arrangement of colors. Another great fit, casual yet classy. ($59)
1.22.10 BS and RVCA 008 by you.
The Bronco shirt is way too neat to describe on here. The right chest pocket has a snap closure that goes to a pocket sewn to the inside of the shirt while the left pocket is a standard patch pocket. I love this progressive plaid too. ($59)
1.22.10 BS and RVCA 009 by you.
The Border striped shirt takes full advantage of those stripes. A great fabric with solid stripes, it doesn’t give you the dizzying feeling some stripes shirt can. And the details are just too amazing for the price!
1.22.10 BS and RVCA 020 by you.
RVCA has outdone themselves again. ($59)
1.22.10 BS and RVCA 010 by you.
The Stacked tee has the logo, based on the concept of balance, made from wood. The back features a much smaller version of the full logo (RVCA) in wood below the collar. A great way to wear the brand, and the fabric is the absolute softest I have ever felt, like its been worn for years and years already, but perfectly new! ($27)
The Woodhull jacket is perfectly neutral and will go with just about anything. It’s similar to the classic British Harrington style with the double button collar and button flap pockets, but this collar is lined with knit ribbing, and the lining of the jacket is a breathable poly mesh to keep you nice and cool when the warmer weather hits. ($90)
Our first pair of shorts for the season is the Manhattan, let’s just pretend summer is right around the corner. These have a great casual fit with a flat front and slash pockets in a lovely washed deep blue with thin black stripes. ($63)

Here in the grey depths of Winter we were pleasantly surprised to get an early Spring shipment from Ben Sherman for the ladies!

First is the Sarum racerback tank. This cotton is unbelievably soft and light as a cloud, with an adorable striped scarf, attached at the back. This is a chic and relaxed piece, hanging beautifully on the body. ($69)

The Katherine boyfriend tee is slightly nautical piece with cute rolled sleeves and slightly oversized armholes. The fit is relaxed and flowing, but not baggy or billowy. Great with jeans, a skirt, trim slacks or over a swimsuit at the beach on your late Winter island vacation. ($59)

The Emma Trench coat has a fantastic check plaid pattern, very stylish, yet perfectly classic. The collar looks great buttoned up or unbuttoned and open like a traditional trench, and the back has a cute little belt detail and flattering pleat to leave room for the hips. ($229)

Hello friends!

We are busy busy bees here at the Kuhlman hive marking down every item in the store. Everything you can get your hands on will be marked down anywhere from 20-70%! This includes socks, hats, belts, watches, jewelry, denim, dresses, each and every darned item!

Come clear us out, we won’t be marking these items down any further and we need to make room for our spring collections which should start rolling in pretty soon.

At these prices, sizes are sure to fly out of here so get in here quick.

Happy New Year!

Howdy folks! Stacy here, your favorite East Coast transplant here at Kuhlman. I am the store manager and apprentice tailor extraordinaire, and I’ve been working here almost a year and a half. You can most often find me mending something at the back table, working in back at the sewing machines, or fitting your suit for alterations. I’m going to share my favorite pieces in the store right now…

Stacy's 10 011 by you.

10. The Time Teller P.  Holy crap, this watch is awesome. Made from PU, it goes anywhere. And the color choices are just plain AMAZING. I seriously think this watch can make everyone happy. Like sleek, clean lines, with solid colors? Go for the white! Like to be flashy with colors everywhere? Get one of each color! Or just go with the multi-colored one! I really just can’t get enough of this watch.

9. Some Things Take Time Tee from Poketo. A bear riding a bike? Awesome! The quote is adorable, the drawing completely unique. Plus, theres a bear nipple on there, how could you turn that down?!

Stacy's 10 025 by you.

8. Iro Coat. Sleek A-line shape with minimal embellishments. (It’s better on a human than our mannequin, come in and I’ll show you!) Hidden placket shows no buttons. Short stand collar adds to the great image! This coat is so Seattle, even if Seattlites don’t know it yet.

7. Alea white w/ blue stripes. Alea is our new vendor for high-end button-up shirts, and they certainly are delivering. These don’t come as slim as Xacus did (still much slimmer than your average American shirt) but they can be darted for that super slim look. The fabric choices are all wonderful, but this is one of my favorites.

6. Wohali belt from Brave. We had this in brown before, and now here is the black. I love the versatility - ladies can hang it around their natural waist so it accents a dress. Guys and ladies alike can put it on their jeans too. No need to get a different size either, the same size can totally work for both!

Stacy's 10 016 by you.

5. Ben Sherman velvet blazer. I think this speaks for itself, but I’ll help it along anyway. It’s velvet, it fits like a dream, it’s velvet, it’s not expensive, it’s velvet, and it’s the most gorgeous shade of midnight blue. Perfect for all those New Year’s parties you have booked! (Also pictured: Valentine Tux Shirt from Alea, Plectrum cuff links from Ben Sherman, and bow tie from J. Lindeberg.)

Stacy's Top 10 005 by you.

4. Fred Perry Navy/Aqua Track Jacket. I love this color, on guys and ladies, it pops color without being overbearing. The track jacket is a classic as far as we are concerned. Throw it on over jeans and a tee and you instantly look like you tried. Not to mention Gob wears one, and when was Gob ever wrong?

2. Tylho Scarves - I think these are the best gifts for anyone on your list you aren’t positive what to get. These are great for guys or girls, young or old. They are lightweight cotton, but super wide so they hold up to the cold. (Also pictured: Nicholas K double snap coat)

Stacy's Top 10 013 by you.

1. Nixon Messenger - This is new here at the store, and I don’t think there is a better bag out there. All the zippers have reinforcing all around them to keep the rain out. It has a smorgasbord of pockets for every storage need you could have.

Stacy's Top 10 014 by you.
(all the pockets inside one of the outer pockets. 4 outer pockets all together)
Stacy's Top 10 017 by you.
(It might be hard to tell, but the glossy parts are covered zippers. The rubber keeps as much water out as is possible for a zipper)
