New PACT Prints!

We’re happy to again present the best thing to happen to underwear since elastic! In case you don’t remember, PACT donates at least 10% of every sale to charity. Some prints and colors are associated with specific charities, so you can either tailor your purchases towards the charities you would like to support, or buy haphazardly and know your money is going to a good place!

pact826 by you.

This print is for 826 National, a nonprofit with 8 chapters across this great nation, all in support of children’s writing skills. They even have a Seattle branch!

pact-underwear-4 by you.

My apologies for the small photo. I couldn’t seem to find a model! This print is for ForestEthics. They focus on endangered woodlands in Canada, California, and Chile. To date, they have saved over 65 million acres of forest lands. They also work to change business practices and laws to ensure the enviroment we have today will be around for ages.

PACT - Classics 2.0 - Trunk - Stripes by you.

This is from their Classics 2.0 Collection. These are not tied to a specific charity, but 10% of the sale will go to one of their nonprofit partners just the same. Oh, and did I mention all of these are made from organic cotton with attention to all the details to ensure the least impact possible is made on the environment? I didn’t? Well, there you go.

PACT - Oceana - Boxer Briefs - Scales by you.

We have the scales print in both the boxer brief (shown) and the trunk (sized as above photos). Oceana is the largest nonprofit focused solely on the preservation of our oceans and waters. With the Gulf disaster, these guys can use all the help they can get. And you get some brand new undies out of it!

Please check out any of these nonprofits if you are interested in helping more. If not, come get some new undies and feel good about yourself while your doing it!

Ravin’ for Raven!

I can’t help myself with cheesy titles sometimes. But seriously, these jeans are great! Raven got their fame from a beautifully designed pair of trouser jeans a couple years back. Sticking to what they excel at, they use superb tailoring in all their pieces. Check out the pocket details in the last photo!

Raven - W119DNS - Sadie Straight Leg by you.

These are the Sadie Straight Leg fit. Check out the leg on your left, not the one on the metal stand, to see the fit. It extends straight down from the knee rather than tapering in or flaring out. It is a solid, dark indigo wash.

Raven - W107DNS - Sadie Boot Cut - Front by you.

We also have the Sadie Boot Cut. Again, judge by the leg on your left rather than the one on the metal stand. This wash is even darker for a professional look.

Raven - W107DNS - Sadie Boot Cut - Back by you.

A view from the back of the boot cuts. These jeans are made in America of Italian denim for superior quality.

Raven - Pocket Detail by you.

The pockets are plain with small darts in the bottom corners to create a great fit. ($178)

The Stronghold - Waistband by you.

I’m so excited to share these jeans with you guys! The Stronghold was first created in 1895 to locally produce long-lasting, great quality jeans for the laborers of the day. Today, they are under new ownership, but with the same great mentality. Just like the originals, they are all produced in LA using the best of materials.

The Stronghold - DM008 - Straight Leg - Heavy Wt. by you.

These are the straight leg fit. As you can see, they are llloooonnnggg. They are designed as a 35 inseam with a 3 inch turned up cuff at the bottom (= 38! inseam). (This photo has the cuff turned up inside the leg.)

The Stronghold - DM008 - Straight Leg - Heavy Wt. - Side by you.

The straight leg has a nice relaxed fit with extra thigh room.

The Stronghold - Straight Leg - Heavy Wt. - Selvage by you.

All jeans produced by The Stronghold are made solely of selvage denim. I have gone into this before on here, but selvage denim is rare these days, but praised for its superior performance and character. You can always tell selvage denim by looking at the outseam on a denim leg and looking for the telltale white edging. Generally there is a line of another color, usually red, along it as well.

The Stronghold - Straight Leg - Heavy Wt. - Denim Detail by you.

We received the straight leg in two different denims. All the above pictures are of the heavy weight (14 oz.) denim. It has a pretty strong cross hatch pattern in the weave.

The Stronghold - Straight Leg - Medium Wt. - Selvage by you.

This is the medium weight in the straight leg. Rather than cross hatching, the pattern is stronger on the horizontal lines.

The Stronghold - Straight Leg - Medium Weight - Denim Detail by you.

The horizontal pattern can be seen a bit better in this photo.

The Stronghold - DM001 - Slim Leg by you.

We also received a slim leg style. These are the same super long length, but they are a bit slimmer all the way down.

The Stronghold - DM001 - Slim Leg - Side by you.

The taper is not as extreme as a skinny-leg jean, it is just a classic straight leg, slimmer rather than wider.

The Stronghold - Slim Leg - Selvage by you.

The selvage on the slim leg has more red than your average bear.

The Stronghold - Slim Leg - Denim Detail by you.

The slim leg denim is a more solid, uniform color.

The Stronghold - Pocket Detail by you.

I love the old timey fabric used for the pockets. The washing instructions are sewn on the inside (notice the selvage on the right of the photo). As with all of our denim, we suggest washing as little as possible, especially in the beginning. We always suggest waiting 6 months before the first wash if at all possible. (Come in and talk to us about this if it seems odd, we’ll be happy to explain the reasoning and benefits.) These jeans are following their roots as work wear rather than fashion item, so they allow for more washings. (All, $248 each)

Hope you guys are enjoying the weather! Come by and say hi and we’ll share our A/C with you!

These are great, lightweight shirts and the first two have buttons on the sleeves to achieve that effortless rolled up look. For all of you looking to keep your skin away from the sun’s rays but want to feel nice and summery, this is for you!

Penguin - 1CFW0063 - Left Out LS - Heritage Slim Fit by you.

The light colors add to the airy feeling of this shirt. Black and white with some great highlights of light blue and tan. ($79)

Penguin - 1CFW0078 - Buckled In LS - Classic Fit by you.

This one is the classic fit rather than the slim. The sleeves still roll up, the fabric is still wonderfully light and airy.

Penguin - 1CFW0074 - Around the Clock Abbot Pederson SS - Classic Fit by you.

Penguin - 1CFW0074 - Around the Clock Abbot Pederson SS - Classic Fit - Detail by you.

Another wonderful mix charcoal with blue and orange highlights. ($69)

RVCA - 20370049 - Reminder - White Cross Close up by you.

Close up of the printed cross pattern.

RVCA - 20120044 - Loudmouth Tee - White by you.

RVCA - 20120044 - Loudmouth Tee - Black by you.

The black version is a bit less see through for those trying to avoid layering.

RVCA - 20500023 - Barclay Blazer 1 by you.

This amazing piece of clothing is the most innovative item I’ve seen in a long while. It begins with a long, double-breasted blazer with the sleeves slightly rolled up for a relaxed look. Oh so cute.

RVCA - 20500023 - Barclay Blazer 3 by you.

Oh, but wait. Then you notice this detachable amazing jersey scoodie (scarf + hoodie). Wear the blazer open with this draped in front, or wrapped around…

RVCA - 20500023 - Barclay Blazer 2 by you.

RVCA - 20500023 - Barclay Blazer 4 by you.

The pockets on the scarf portion are just another amazing detail that make this coat so versatile and usable. Wear it over a dress for the theatre, or over skinny jeans for a day around town. ($110)

I didn’t forget about you, guys…

RVCA - 10140046 - WorldCom Cardigan by you.

This slouchy, slightly grandfather cardigan is your answer to what to wear in this in between weather. Light enough that you won’t get sweaty, heavy enough to block out a bit of that chilly breeze, this cardigan will get worn again and again.

RVCA - 10140046 - WorldCom Cardigan Back by you.

Plus look at this Nice-Collective-like seem down the back. It starts at the middle of the neck and then curves around the back to end almost at the side seems. Details make it all. ($70)

RVCA - 10130089 - Traffic Stripe Hoodie by you.

The more casual option is the Traffic Stripe hoodie. The tan background with brown and blue stripes across create a nice light summery feel. ($60)

RVCA - 10130075 - Oceanic Pullover by you.

The Oceanic pullover is a heathery blue-grey mix jersey knit. It can be layered under a coat or jacket to add some extra warmth, or worn on its own for some lightweight long sleeve coverage. ($58)

RVCA - 31100218 - Pledge II Wagon Tee by you.

The tees this season are so impressive! I love the ridiculousness of this image! ($32)

RVCA - 11120316 - Nature x Industry Tee by you.

RVCA’s main philosophy is represented in their logo. If you notice, the “U” is shaped as a V and the A has no bar. Put them beside each other, and they represent an idea of balance and unity. An aspect of that is nature and industry, working along side each other, and hopefully together. ($20)

RVCA - 11120312 - Jagged Crest Tee by you.

The lions surrounding the crest bring and old timey feel to a new timey tee. ($20)

That’s right! The sun finally found its way to Seattle, and that means new sunglasses! We have a great assortment from Mosley Tribes that I can’t wait to see on your faces!

Mosley Tribes - Bromley by you.

These are the Bromley. They are an ingenious mix of plastic- and wire-framed glasses. The plastic around the lenses with the aviator-like wires across the bridge create a totally unique, but wearable, look. ($180)

Mosley Tribes - Patterson - Tortoise Shell by you.

The Patterson were released last year. They are the perfect balance between large and small, round and square. ($150)

Mosley Tribes - Patterson - Navy by you.

The sailor’s colors in this two-tone version of the Patterson are so summery! ($150)

Mosley Tribes - Borough by you.

A great short wrap-around style, the Borough, are for those not sticking to trends, but just what looks good! I always say that the only way to really be in style is to look great. If the current large frames aren’t working for you, come and try these out, they’re amazing! ($180)

Mosley Tribes - Flynn by you.

The Flynn is another completely unique but classic style. Surrounding the lenses is much closer to metal than plastic, allowing for a much thinner front. The matte black around the lenses with the shiny black plastic arms create subtle contrast on an otherwise unadorned frame. ($180)

The only aviator for this shipment, the Raynes, are your classic droop eye aviator, beautifully detailed with chrome metal and chrome sapphire lenses. Ladies and gents alike will look great in these babies! ($235)

Illesteva

We recently received two new frame shapes from new-comers Illesteva. This is their very first season producing frames, and they have done an amazing job! The co-creators, Daniel Silberman and Jus Ske, came together in 2009 to create a lifestyle brand to tackle their lack of interest in what the sunglass market had to offer them. Working together with the world leading manufacturers of luxury eyewear, they are able to push the established boundaries and create something totally unique. Each of their frames is handmade in Italy using the highest quality of materials.

This frame is called the Leonard. It has almost perfectly round lenses with two-dot details at the hinge. The cut out at the bridge creates a really unique look. These sunnies are all a little out there and VERY stylish!
